Production Supervisor - Polish

About the role

The Production Supervisor – Polish leads daily polishing operations in a furniture manufacturing environment, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently met. You will coordinate with multiple functional teams to drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day polishing activities, including staining, sanding, coating, spray painting, finishing, and inspection.
• Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Monitor product quality, implement corrective actions, and reduce defects, rework, and material waste.
• Plan and allocate manpower to maximise productivity and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, PPC, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams for smooth workflow.
• Track production progress, maintain shift records, and report performance to management.
• Optimise utilisation of machinery, equipment, paints, and polishing consumables.
• Lead, coach, and develop operators, fostering discipline and performance on the shop floor.

Required profile

• DAE in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑6 years of experience in the Polish/Paint department of a reputable furniture manufacturing company.
• Hands‑on knowledge of wood finishing, spray painting, PU/NC/UV coating systems, sanding, and polishing processes.
• Understanding of paint materials, finishing chemicals, colour matching, and surface preparation techniques.
