Regional Facilities Engineer

About the role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is looking for a Regional Facilities Engineer to provide technical leadership, governance and operational oversight for mission‑critical facilities across the Middle East and North Africa. The role is the primary engineering authority for the MENA portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant and resilient operation of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for mission‑critical facilities and infrastructure throughout the MENA region.
• Ensure engineering operations are delivered in line with client standards, CBRE procedures and industry best practices.
• Support site engineering teams with guidance, decision‑making and escalation of complex technical issues.
• Drive consistency in maintenance delivery, engineering standards and operational excellence across all locations.
• Oversee operational performance of data centres, technology rooms, command centres and other business‑critical facilities.
• Conduct periodic technical reviews, evaluate maintenance effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Govern change‑management processes, review and approve high‑risk engineering changes.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and development of corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, statutory requirements and client engineering standards.
• Support capacity planning, review power, cooling and space requirements and provide input to capital projects.
• Manage relationships with specialist contractors, review vendor performance and promote best‑practice sharing.
• Champion a strong safety culture and support sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering qualification or equivalent technical certification.
• 8‑10 years of experience in mission‑critical facilities or data‑centre operations.
• Strong understanding of critical facility infrastructure and operational risk management.
