Regional Manager - Recovery Support

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a Regional Manager for Recovery Support to lead the coordination of legal and collection activities across its branches. This senior position reports to the Unit Head of Recovery Support and plays a critical role in managing litigation, settlements, and asset recovery to protect the bank’s financial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the bank’s legal team, branches, and collection units to ensure timely follow‑up of suit‑filed cases.
• Liaise with external counsel for case updates, litigation management, and out‑of‑court settlements.
• Monitor ongoing litigation, court hearings, and outcomes, providing recommendations to senior management.
• Review legal documents and oversee administrative support for external counsel.
• Track execution of decrees, including attachment and auction of mortgaged or pledged assets.
• Evaluate panel lawyer performance and advise on retention or replacement.
• Validate legal expenses and professional fee claims for accuracy and cost‑effectiveness.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports on suit‑filed cases and ensure timely reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation (or equivalent) from a recognized university; L.L.B. or relevant certification preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in a commercial bank, with a minimum of 3 years in recovery, litigation, or banking legal functions.
• Experience in large‑scale or public‑sector organizations is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment.
• Goal‑oriented, result‑driven, and able to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
