Remote Accountant & Bookkeeper for eCommerce Clients

About the role

We are looking for a remote Accountant/Bookkeeper to own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of high-growth eCommerce brands. You will ensure accurate financial records, timely month-end and year-end closes, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 7-9-figure eCommerce client files, including reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, accruals and prepaids.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, schedule balance-sheet tie-outs and deliver timely reports.
• Record payroll entries, prepaids and accruals accurately.
• Handle sales-tax filings, remittances and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
• Review your own work before submission and suggest workflow automation improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a firm or multi-client environment.
• Proven ownership of month-end close, not just support.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (written and spoken).
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, ACA, etc.) – in progress is acceptable.

Required skills

• Cloud accounting platforms – QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
• Project-management tools such as ClickUp.
• Inventory and COGS accounting.
• Sales-tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
