Remote Cybersecurity Specialist – Penetration Testing

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist to perform penetration testing for a global information services leader. The contractor will identify and exploit vulnerabilities across networks, web applications and APIs, delivering actionable findings to improve the client’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application and API penetration testing.
• Run vulnerability scans, analyze results and develop custom exploits to validate risks.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage issues and verify remediation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong analytical abilities and clear communication of technical findings.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK and CIS benchmarks.

Required skills

• Penetration testing tools: Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit.
• Scripting/automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Operating systems and networks: Windows, Linux, network protocols.
• Cloud security principles.
