Remote Cybersecurity Specialist – Penetration Testing

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading Information Services firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities across networks, web applications, and APIs to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive manual and automated penetration tests on network, web, and API assets.
• Run vulnerability scans, analyze results, and prioritize security weaknesses.
• Develop custom exploits and simulate real‑world attack scenarios.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Work closely with engineering and security teams to verify fixes and track remediation progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and security assessments.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret technical data and communicate results clearly.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and exploit development.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Understanding of network protocols, Windows/Linux operating systems, and cloud security concepts.
