Remote DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure)

About the role

We are seeking a Remote DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure) on a contract basis to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for a global technology leader. The role focuses on automating software delivery, ensuring high availability, and optimizing cost across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to support automation tasks.
• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to adopt DevOps best practices.
• Support cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, focusing on scalability and cost optimization.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines in a production environment.
• Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code and automated provisioning.
• Hands‑on scripting ability with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Understanding of networking concepts and cloud security best practices.
