Remote Excel Specialist – Financial Modeling

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Excel Specialist to support a global financial services leader on a contract basis. The role focuses on building sophisticated financial models, automating reporting, and ensuring data integrity across finance and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex Excel financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Create automated reporting solutions using VBA macros and Power Query to minimize manual effort.
• Validate, cleanse, and reconcile financial data to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into functional spreadsheet solutions.
• Document formulas, assumptions, and processes for reproducibility and transparency.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Proven experience writing and debugging VBA macros.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling principles and Power Query/Pivot tools.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to ensure data accuracy.
