Remote Family Law Attorney – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Family Law Attorney to join a global legal services leader on a contract basis. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while providing counsel and representation in divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, file, and argue motions, including temporary orders and final judgments.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex family law issues.
• Advise clients on rights, obligations, and strategic options in divorce and custody cases.
• Maintain compliance with procedural rules and deadlines throughout litigation.

Required profile

• Active license to practice law in good standing with a state bar association.
• Minimum three years of family law practice, including courtroom litigation.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
• Ability to analyze case law and statutes to develop effective legal strategies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management software.
• Experience using legal research tools.
