Remote Legal Expert – Microtasking & Freelance Platforms

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Legal Expert to support a leading technology company that operates micro‑tasking and freelance platforms. The specialist will ensure that the platform’s policies and operations comply with relevant local and international laws, and will advise on dispute‑resolution mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Review and draft terms of service, privacy policies, and user agreements to ensure legal compliance.
• Identify and advise on legal risks related to data privacy, labor regulations, and cross‑border transactions.
• Assess intellectual‑property issues and mitigate related disputes.
• Provide legal support for user disputes and platform‑related inquiries.
• Monitor evolving regulations affecting gig‑economy platforms and update internal guidelines accordingly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract review and drafting for digital platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data‑privacy laws such as GDPR or CCPA.
• Familiarity with labor laws across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities in legal contexts.
• Ability to convey complex legal concepts to non‑legal stakeholders.
