Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a remote, part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to monitor, analyze and respond to security events for a global technology leader. The role is fully virtual, allowing you to work from anywhere while protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate incidents to determine scope, impact and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS or Qualys.
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic for anomalies.
• Proven incident‑response experience and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage time effectively in a remote environment.
