Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to work remotely, monitoring and analyzing security events for a global technology leader. The role focuses on protecting systems and data by identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and maintaining security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic for anomalies.
• Experience with incident response procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
