Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a remote, part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents and help strengthen the organization’s defenses while working from anywhere.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from multiple sources including SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate security incidents to determine scope, impact and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings, actions taken and recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS or Qualys.
• Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS Controls.
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic to detect anomalies.
• Experience with incident response procedures and best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
