Remote Part‑Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader on a part‑time, remote basis. You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help safeguard critical infrastructure and sensitive data across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic for anomalies.
• Experience with incident response procedures.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage time effectively in a remote environment.
