Remote Punjabi-French Medical Interpreter

About the role

INTELEX is looking for a remote Medical Interpreter fluent in Punjabi, English, and French. The interpreter will bridge communication gaps between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate exchanges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for medical consultations.
• Handle over‑the‑phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) sessions as well as scheduled appointments.
• Use correct medical terminology and maintain HIPAA‑compliant confidentiality.
• Take notes and retain information accurately during interpreting sessions.

Required profile

• 6 months to 3 years of professional interpretation experience.
• Proven expertise in medical or legal interpreting.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including 24/7 coverage.
• High level of listening, note‑taking, and memory retention skills.

Required skills

• Fluency in Punjabi, English, and French.
• Simultaneous and consecutive interpreting abilities.
• Familiarity with OPI/VRI platforms.
