Remote Sociology Professor – Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sociology Professor to deliver high‑quality, asynchronous instruction for undergraduate and graduate programs. This contract role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to a global leader in online higher education.

Key responsibilities

• Design and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments for postsecondary sociology courses.
• Deliver weekly asynchronous modules that include lectures, readings, discussions, and assignments.
• Grade student work using rubrics, evaluate participation, and provide detailed feedback within 48 hours.
• Maintain academic integrity by enforcing course policies and addressing plagiarism.
• Collaborate with academic teams to ensure consistent course delivery and student support.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Sociology or a closely related field.
• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably online or hybrid.
• Strong written communication skills for clear feedback and documentation.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple courses.

Required skills

• Proficiency with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
