Senior Boiler Engineer

About the role

The Senior Boiler Engineer will lead the planning, execution and reliability of utilities and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) maintenance at the Cornwala plant. The role ensures safe, efficient and uninterrupted operations while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance in SAP, ensuring completion before due dates.
• Conduct annual boiler inspections for government authorities and pressure‑vessel inspections as directed.
• Supervise and coordinate third‑party contractors for safe execution of assigned jobs.
• Maintain equipment reliability across boilers, LPG plant, cooling towers, chillers, tube wells, gas lines, steam and condensate systems.
• Oversee operation and compliance of the WWTP to meet regulatory limits.
• Manage spares inventory, raise purchase requisitions and liaise with procurement.
• Lead utilities projects – upgrades, retrofits and new installations – preparing BOQs and technical specifications.
• Ensure safety measures, KPI adherence, SOP reviews and upload performance data to Power BI.
• Supervise contractor performance, enforce quality standards and control budgets.
• Develop and mentor the utilities team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or DAE in Mechanical/Chemical discipline.
• 1st Class Boiler Competency Certificate (mandatory).
• 7‑10 years experience in utilities operations and maintenance of coal, diesel or gas‑fired boilers.
• Proven ability to interact with government regulatory authorities.
• Computer literate with strong SAP, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office and Power BI skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and knowledge of international EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO and food‑safety standards.
