Senior Databricks Engineer – Remote (Pakistan)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Databricks Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance data pipelines for a fully remote team based anywhere in Pakistan. You will own end‑to‑end data integration, ensure data quality, and enable enterprise‑wide reporting through a medallion architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL pipelines in Databricks, supporting multiple source systems.
• Implement and optimise medallion architecture (raw, curated, trusted) for governed, enterprise‑level reporting.
• Develop dimensional data models that power analytics dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with data stewards, IT, and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Identify dependencies, drive alignment across teams, and resolve integration, data‑quality, and performance issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, recommend best practices, and ensure platform scalability and durability.
• Document solutions and share knowledge to enable independent maintenance by teams and clients.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Databricks development experience with relevant certifications (proof required).
• Proven track record building production‑grade ETL pipelines and medallion architectures.
• Strong ability to interpret business requirements, communicate impact, and work independently in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and constructive feedback skills.
