Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Nysonian is seeking a senior engineer to own and evolve its internal systems, including production infrastructure, the internal CRM, and automation/AI‑agent tooling. This high‑autonomy position requires you to identify problems, design robust solutions, and drive them to production while raising engineering standards across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture, health, and feature roadmap of the internal CRM platform (NestJS, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Lead debugging of complex cross‑system data and logic issues.
• Design and maintain production infrastructure on AWS (EC2, ALB, S3, Route53, IAM, VPC) and Linux environments.
• Configure nginx reverse proxies, SSL/TLS certificates, and process managers (PM2/systemd) at scale.
• Architect networking, firewalls, security groups, load‑balancer redirects, and DNS strategy.
• Administer PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, including access control, indexing, and security.
• Own incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem processes.
• Build and evolve MCP servers and AI‑agent integrations with CRM, databases, Shopify, and third‑party APIs.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with a track record of end‑to‑end ownership of production systems.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset; able to work autonomously and drive initiatives without detailed tickets.
• Experience leading incident response and implementing long‑term security and maintainability strategies.
