Senior Full‑Stack WordPress Developer (Plugin & Theme)

About the role

Sapphire Technologies is looking for a Senior Full‑Stack WordPress Developer to lead custom WordPress projects, build and modify themes and plugins, and resolve both front‑end and back‑end issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Customize existing themes to meet client specifications.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical problems across front‑end and back‑end.
• Optimize website performance through caching, minification, image compression, and database management.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Implement security measures such as SSL setup, malware protection, and overall site hardening.
• Provide occasional remote support outside regular business hours when required.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on WordPress development experience.
• Strong command of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience creating custom post types, taxonomies, and using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• Familiarity with popular themes like Astra or Divi.
• Proven ability to resolve plugin conflicts, theme bugs, and performance issues.
• Experience with caching tools such as WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache.
• Knowledge of Git version control and basic SEO principles.
