Software Engineer – E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join an e‑commerce team working fully remotely. The position focuses on building scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences for a global platform. You will collaborate with product, design and engineering peers to deliver high‑performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in distributed systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and testing standards.
• Profile, debug and optimise system performance through algorithmic improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Work closely with product managers, designers and other engineers to ship features.

Required profile

• Open to recent graduates (new‑grad) interested in backend development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, micro‑services or cloud‑native development.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
