Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The position focuses on building and maintaining scalable platforms that process large volumes of human‑generated data, supporting both real‑time and batch workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines for high‑throughput processing.
• Build and maintain backend services that enable real‑time and batch data flows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, and security.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud‑based data infrastructure.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, collaborative team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, or similar distributed technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure for data workloads.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
