Software Engineer, Micro Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable micro platforms that power core business services for a global technology leader. This full‑time remote position offers the chance to influence architectural decisions and drive innovation within a fast‑paced, distributed‑system environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑performance, reliable micro platforms.
• Develop and optimise backend services using modern development practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and observability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across distributed systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in backend development.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Containerisation using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
