Specialist Social Media Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Social Media Manager to strengthen our institutional presence, engage learners and stakeholders, and support program recruitment and communications. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will work closely with program coordinators, instructional designers, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a content strategy for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube aligned with program objectives.
• Create and manage an editorial calendar, schedule posts, campaigns, and community initiatives.
• Produce and edit multimedia content such as short videos, reels, graphics, and carousel posts following brand guidelines.
• Monitor audience engagement, respond to comments and messages professionally, and escalate issues when needed.
• Track performance using analytics (reach, engagement, conversions) and prepare weekly/monthly reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with program teams to translate academic and administrative updates into compelling social content.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional social media experience with a demonstrable portfolio.
• Experience creating and executing social media strategies for education, nonprofit, or institutional clients.
• Proven ability to grow engagement and reach across platforms.
• Strong written communication, copywriting, and proofreading skills.

Required skills

• Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, LinkedIn Pages, YouTube channel management.
• Scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Later.
• Canva, Adobe Spark, Adobe Creative Cloud basics for graphic design.
• Short‑form video production, basic motion editing, photography.
• Paid social advertising, audience targeting, A/B testing, budget optimization.
• Analytics using Google Analytics and native social insights.
