STEM Researcher – Remote (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified STEM researcher to join a leading technology company on a full‑time remote basis. The role focuses on designing and solving challenging STEM problems that test the limits of large language models, producing clear, step‑by‑step solutions with rigorous reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Design original STEM problems that probe LLM capabilities in abstraction, multi‑step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Develop high‑quality, detailed solutions that articulate reasoning clearly.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem sets with evaluation goals and benchmark development.
• Contribute to the creation of new evaluation benchmarks covering physics curricula from early undergraduate to PhD‑level topics.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance analytical workflows and support future‑proof career growth.

Required profile

• Ph.D., post‑doctoral experience, or Master’s degree with strong analytical background in STEM.
• Proven ability to break down complex scientific concepts into simple, understandable explanations.
• Creative, lateral thinking and self‑motivation for independent remote work.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of STEM disciplines, especially physics and engineering.
• Experience with problem formulation and solution articulation for AI evaluation.
