STEM Researcher – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified STEM Researcher to work remotely on a full‑time basis. In this position you will design and solve challenging STEM problems that probe the limits of large language models, contributing to cutting‑edge AI evaluation research.

Key responsibilities

• Design and solve advanced STEM problems to test large language model capabilities.
• Produce clear, step‑by‑step solutions with well‑articulated reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem sets with evaluation goals, focusing on abstraction, multi‑step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Help define new evaluation benchmarks covering physics curricula from early undergraduate to PhD‑level topics.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance analytical workflows and support future‑proof career growth in an AI‑first environment.

Required profile

• Ph.D., post‑doctoral or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline, with expertise comparable to engineering entrance exams or graduate‑level studies.
• Strong analytical ability to decompose complex concepts into simple, clear explanations.
• Creative, lateral thinking skills for tackling novel, difficult problems.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.
• Self‑motivated, independent worker with reliable desktop/laptop and internet connection.
