About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified STEM researcher to work remotely on designing and solving challenging problems that test the limits of large language models. Key responsibilities

• Design and solve challenging STEM problems to probe large language model limitations.
• Create clear, step‑by‑step solutions with well‑articulated reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problems with evaluation goals, focusing on abstraction, multi‑step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Help define new evaluation benchmarks covering early undergraduate to PhD‑level physics curricula.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance analytical capabilities and support career growth in an AI‑first environment.

Required profile

• Strong analytical background in STEM at engineering‑exam, graduate, or PhD level.
• Ability to break down complex concepts into simple, clear explanations.
• Creative and lateral thinking to address difficult problems.
