Systems Engineer – Linux & Infrastructure (Onsite, Lahore)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to manage and optimize a large fleet of Linux servers in both bare‑metal and cloud environments. The role focuses on high‑performance computing, AI infrastructure, and reliable service delivery for demanding workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, patch, and harden Linux servers (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu) across on‑premise and cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex OS, kernel, performance, and hardware issues.
• Design, configure, and maintain TCP/IP networking, including routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and bonding.
• Deploy and manage NFS and other shared storage systems for high‑throughput workloads.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and remediation using Ansible and IaC practices.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards with Grafana and related tools.
• Handle operational workflows via ServiceNow and JIRA ticketing systems.
• Own capacity planning, OS lifecycle management, standardized builds, and image management.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and SRE teams on reliability, security, and new service rollouts.
• Document standards, runbooks, and procedures while reducing operational toil.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration or infrastructure engineering at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with GPU servers, HPC or AI infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Slurm or other cluster schedulers.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, CCNA or cloud provider certifications.
