About the role

We are hiring a Tax Accountant (EA/CPA) to prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses on a remote basis. The role supports a global accounting firm and requires accurate, compliant tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
• Maintain client records and documentation according to tax standards.
• Communicate with clients to gather tax information and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax, Drake, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes and regulations.
