Trainee Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation Design

About the role

Lucky Core Industries is looking for a motivated Trainee Engineer to support Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (E&I) design activities. This position is ideal for recent electrical engineering graduates who want to develop a solid foundation in plant‑level electrical design while working alongside experienced engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in performing electrical load calculations, cable sizing and preparing technical specifications.
• Develop basic and detailed engineering deliverables such as layout drawings, wiring diagrams and panel schedules under supervision.
• Review vendor data sheets, technical offers and equipment specifications.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations and support technical bid comparisons.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants and vendors to close design and installation actions.
• Support energy‑optimization initiatives, power‑factor improvement and overall electrical system efficiency.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from an HEC‑recognised university.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical mindset, good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Required skills

• Electrical load calculations and cable sizing.
• Technical specification drafting.
• Electrical layout design, wiring diagrams and panel schedules.
• Familiarity with P&ID, cable routing, earthing/grounding systems and single‑line diagrams (SLDs).
• Power‑system optimisation and energy‑efficiency improvement.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and NEC standards and electrical safety requirements.
