Unit Head – Digital Risk & Frauds (AVP/VP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan seeks a senior leader to head its Digital Risk & Fraud function. Reporting to the Wing Head of Digital Solution Governance & Regulatory Compliance, you will shape the bank’s risk framework for all digital channels while ensuring a balance between customer experience and fraud control.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Digital Banking Risk & Fraud Management framework covering mobile banking, internet banking, APIs, ADCs and third‑party integrations.
• Identify, assess and monitor transactional, operational and fraud risks across digital products, channels and partnerships.
• Lead the design, enhancement and deployment of fraud detection tools, rule‑based engines and behavioral analytics.
• Coordinate with technical and business teams to ensure timely response to fraud incidents and regulatory compliance.
• Implement State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations related to e‑banking, payment systems and fraud reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; MBA, Computer Science, IT, Information Security or related certifications preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in digital product development, operational risk, fraud risk, digital banking operations or payment systems, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role overseeing digital product development, fraud monitoring or operational risk functions.
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset with high integrity and confidentiality standards.
