Virtual Medical Assistant – Scribing & Patient Support (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to support a boutique menopause‑medicine practice. The role is part‑time, remote, and involves live scribing, patient communication, scheduling, and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform live medical scribing during 1–1.5 hour patient consultations, documenting symptoms, severity ratings, and clinical information using established EMR templates.
• Pre‑populate intake and follow‑up templates by reviewing prior documentation and preparing relevant history for the physician.
• Manage patient communication via phone, text, and email, conduct pre‑screening calls, explain the cash‑pay model, and send education materials.
• Schedule, reschedule, confirm appointments and handle reminder sequences to reduce cancellations.
• Coordinate upfront payments, communicate expectations, and maintain accurate payment records.
• Retrieve laboratory results from external portals, upload reports to the EMR, and ensure proper document organization.

Required profile

• Experienced medical scribe with a track record of accurate, structured documentation.
• Compassionate and professional communication style with patients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established workflows.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently as an extension of the physician.

Required skills

• EMR documentation using predefined templates.
• Familiarity with laboratory portal access and document upload.
• Scheduling and calendar management tools.
• Basic payment coordination and record‑keeping.

What we offer

• Flexible remote schedule, Monday‑Friday, approximately 9 AM‑3 PM.
• 30 hours per week, part‑time.
• Compensation of $5 per hour.
