International Procurement Specialist – Import Operations

About the role

Agay Barho is seeking a detail‑oriented International Procurement Specialist to manage import purchasing activities that keep production running smoothly. The role focuses on sourcing raw and packaging materials from overseas, handling import documentation, and coordinating logistics to ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and negotiate with reliable international suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and industrial supplies.
• Maintain and update the supplier database to support cost‑effective and quality sourcing.
• Prepare and manage import documentation including pro‑forma invoices, purchase orders, letters of credit, bills of lading, and packing lists.
• Coordinate with banks for opening, amending, and submitting letters of credit.
• Track shipments, liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and shipping lines to resolve any discrepancies.
• Work closely with internal departments to align supply schedules with production needs.
• Record all procurement activities in the ERP system and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in import procurement or international sourcing, preferably in manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks efficiently in a dynamic setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
