Accounting Assistant – GAAP, Financial Reporting & Bookkeeping

About the role

Buckingham Home Private Limited is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support its finance department. The role focuses on day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, bookkeeping, and compliance with GAAP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records through daily bookkeeping and general ledger updates.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly to manage cash flow.
• Prepare and review financial reports and statements in line with GAAP.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
• Utilize accounting software (Netsuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials) to record and track transactions.
• Manage invoice verification, coding, and timely payment.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and adhere to legal regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in FMCG or a similar fast‑moving environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple accounting processes efficiently.
• Ability to work on‑site in Lahore and collaborate with senior accountants and finance managers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Netsuite, QuickBooks, SAP or Oracle Financials.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
