Automation Engineer – Kabirwala Factory

About the role

The Automation Engineer will support the Kabirwala factory by ensuring that automation, control, and electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will drive equipment performance, optimise processes and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding the highest standards of safety, product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and program PLC, SCADA, HMI and related control systems.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on automation equipment.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and upgrades of automation projects.
• Improve line efficiency through process control, system optimisation and data‑driven analysis.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food‑safety and engineering standards.
• Train operators and technicians on automation hardware and software.
• Apply TPM, NSAT, NIMS, AMM and other digital tools for maintenance planning.
• Manage critical automation spare parts, system backups and documentation.
• Support root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in automation, controls or maintenance.
• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external contractors.
• Self‑driven attitude with focus on KPIs and results.

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.

• Industrial networking and instrumentation.
• TPM and preventive maintenance systems.
• Familiarity with NSAT, NIMS and AMM tools.
