AWS Engineer - Cloud (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure for high‑traffic applications. This remote contract position allows you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to optimise performance, cost, and security on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Monitor system health with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party tools to ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to AWS services, networking, and security configurations.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for team knowledge sharing and compliance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and a relevant AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes on AWS.
