AWS Engineer – Cloud (Remote)

About the role

We are hiring for a client to design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for high‑traffic applications. The contract position is fully remote and focuses on performance, cost, and security optimization while working with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy for automated deployments.
• Monitor system performance using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party tools to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to AWS services, networking, and security configurations.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for team knowledge sharing and compliance.

Required profile

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) on AWS.
