BESS Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a talented and detail‑oriented BESS Design Engineer to join our Engineering and Energy Storage Solutions team in Lahore. The role involves designing reliable and commercially competitive Battery Energy Storage System solutions for a wide range of applications, from commercial and industrial sites to utility‑scale and micro‑grid projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse electrical load data and determine backup and grid‑interaction requirements.
• Size battery capacity, power conversion system (PCS) power, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare single‑line diagrams, system layouts, bills of quantities (BOQs), technical specifications and cost estimates.
• Design both AC‑coupled and DC‑coupled BESS solutions for diverse energy applications.
• Select batteries, inverters/PCS, EMS, BMS, transformers, switchgear, protection, HVAC and fire‑suppression equipment.
• Develop technical proposals, tender documents and commercial comparisons.
• Estimate project costs, savings, ROI and payback for customer presentations.
• Support site surveys, commissioning and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Strong electrical design expertise with analytical thinking.
• Passion for sustainable technology and clean‑energy projects.
• Ability to work closely with sales, procurement, project management and installation teams.
