Big Data Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer to join a global technology leader on a full‑time remote basis. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support both real‑time and batch processing, ensuring data integrity and accessibility across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses and lakes.
• Develop and optimise data models to meet analytics and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to guarantee data quality and availability for downstream applications.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system reliability.
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience building data pipelines and working with cloud data services.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a remote environment.
