Cleaner – Facility Maintenance Support

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is launching a short‑term nutrition project in Multan and needs a reliable Cleaner to maintain hygienic standards across its facilities. Reporting to the Supply Chain Officer, you will ensure that all assigned areas are kept clean, safe, and ready for daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Straighten rooms, clean floors, carpets, surfaces and fixtures according to schedule.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supply closets and request additional materials as needed.
• Clean bathrooms, eating areas, windows, refrigerators, fans, air‑conditioners and lighting fixtures.
• Empty waste baskets daily, prepare for trash pick‑up and dispose of litter.
• Sweep walkways, external stairs and outer areas at least once a day.
• Provide laundry and kitchen support when assigned.
• Identify and report maintenance issues such as plumbing or lighting problems.
• Participate in training and development activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum matriculation (high school) education.
• At least two years of cleaning experience, preferably in an office or NGO setting.
• Good health and personal hygiene.
• Responsiveness to direction and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules.

Required skills

• Demonstrated cleaning skills.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Basic inventory management for cleaning supplies.
