Computer Operator (Data Center)

About the role

SiliconWhiz is looking for a reliable Computer Operator to join its IT team in Lahore. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and data‑center equipment, supporting daily business activities and maintaining data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control computer systems and data‑center equipment.
• Maintain and manage hardware, including peripherals.
• Perform regular backups and recovery operations.
• Follow standard operating protocols, manage error messages, and respond to system issues.
• Assist in resolving data processing problems.
• Execute routine security updates and system maintenance tasks.
• Document system performance, operational issues, and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support for desktop applications and troubleshoot issues.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a computer operator or in a similar role.
• Availability to work full‑time on‑site with flexibility for different shifts.
• Familiarity with computer systems, network protocols, and data‑center operations.
• Basic understanding of IT troubleshooting procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
