Data Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for a global software development leader. The role is fully remote and focuses on delivering reliable data solutions that enable business insights and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load large datasets.
• Implement and maintain data warehouses and data lakes for analytical and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and performance.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve reliability and efficiency.
• Document data architecture, processes, and standards for compliance and team reference.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools such as Airflow or Spark.
• Solid understanding of data modelling and warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on scalability and performance.
