Family Law Attorney – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Family Law Attorney to join a global legal services leader on a remote contract basis. The attorney will provide counsel and representation in divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division matters, working from anywhere.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, file, and argue motions, temporary orders, and final judgments in family law disputes.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex family law issues.
• Advise clients on rights, obligations, and strategic options in divorce and custody cases.
• Maintain compliance with procedural rules and deadlines throughout litigation.

Required profile

• Active license to practice law in good standing with a state bar association.
• Minimum three years of family law practice, including litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing ability for pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
• Proven analytical skills to interpret case law and statutes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management software.
• Experience using legal research tools.
