Food & Nutrition Subject Matter Expert

About the role

We are looking for a Food & Nutrition Subject Matter Expert to help Turing fine‑tune large language models with accurate nutrition, dietetics and culinary operations logic. You will translate professional nutrition guidelines into deterministic spreadsheet formulas that power AI‑driven menu‑planning tools.

Key responsibilities

• Define discovery parameters such as calorie, macro, household size, dietary restrictions and budget for AI builders.
• Co‑design interview workflows and validate context files including recipe cards, pantry inventories and grocery receipts.
• Verify macro and costing formulas, recipe scaling, grocery list roll‑ups and validation dropdowns for flagship AI products.
• Review and sign off AI‑generated outputs to ensure alignment with professional dietetic, culinary and menu‑engineering standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in nutrition, dietetics, culinary operations or food‑service menu planning.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong professional writing ability to translate nutrition guidelines into clear spreadsheet logic.
• Analytical mindset to enforce operational guardrails such as macro‑to‑calorie ratios and food‑cost percentages.

• Advanced Excel spreadsheet modeling.
• Creation of deterministic formulas and validation structures.
