About the role

Botmer International is looking for a full‑time remote GIS Developer to design, build and maintain geospatial applications that power business‑critical workflows. You will turn complex spatial data into intuitive, high‑performance software solutions for our AI‑first clients.

Key responsibilities

Develop custom GIS applications and interactive web‑mapping solutions.
Manage and optimise spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial or Oracle Spatial.
Create automated ETL pipelines for raster and vector data processing.
Integrate geospatial capabilities into enterprise systems via REST APIs and backend services.
Perform spatial analysis, indexing and coordinate‑reference‑system handling.
Ensure reliability, scalability and performance of mapping services.
Collaborate with product teams, engineers, analysts and stakeholders.

Required profile

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in GIS development or spatial data engineering.
Strong proficiency in Python for geospatial work (GeoPandas, Shapely, GDAL/OGR, ArcPy, etc.).
Experience building web‑based GIS applications using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Hands‑on knowledge of spatial databases and spatial queries.
Proven ability to design and expose geospatial services through APIs.
