Junior Software Engineer

About the role

SmartPropFirm is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join its product and engineering team. The role is ideal for early‑career developers who can write clean, reliable code and leverage modern AI development tools in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve features across the web platform, including tools, dashboards, rewards and marketplace systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code for both frontend and backend components.
• Fix bugs, enhance performance, and polish user‑facing features.
• Use AI development tools for research, debugging, implementation, and code improvement.
• Test work thoroughly before submitting for review and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of software development experience.
• Strong understanding of core programming concepts and software fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (preferably React).
• Basic backend understanding, including APIs, databases, and authentication flows.
• Ability to read, understand, and contribute to an existing codebase.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication abilities.
• Comfortable using Git workflows (branches, merge requests, code reviews).
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot for development.
