Medical Scheduling Coordinator

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Medical Scheduling Coordinator to support a U.S.-based healthcare practice from our Lahore or Islamabad office. You will be the primary point of contact for patients calling in, ensuring appointments are booked accurately and efficiently while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle high‑volume inbound patient calls and route inquiries.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments according to provider availability.
• Manage provider calendars, waitlists, and recall systems.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance details, and intake information.
• Process copays, balances, and other patient payments when required.
• Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and preparation instructions.
• Document all interactions and updates in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Identify urgent patient concerns and escalate to the appropriate team.
• Support daily administrative and scheduling workflows.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or scheduling within a U.S. healthcare environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong phone etiquette and call‑handling abilities.
• Ability to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, US business hours, on‑site in Lahore or Islamabad.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
