Procurement Manager – Food Services

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead the purchasing function for all branches and the head office of a reputable restaurant chain. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures timely, quality‑focused procurement at competitive terms while managing a team of five professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Purchase and Procurement Department, assigning tasks and monitoring team performance.
• Process purchase orders against approved requisitions, obtaining emergency authorisations when required.
• Source food, packaging, equipment and operational supplies in line with specifications, quality standards and quantity needs.
• Identify, assess and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers to secure reliable, cost‑effective supply chains.
• Obtain multiple quotations, negotiate price and terms, and secure management approvals before finalising purchases.
• Coordinate inventory efforts with branches and storage teams to minimise shortages, avoid excess stock and reduce unnecessary purchases.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a procurement team in a food‑service or restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, supplier assessment, contract negotiation and vendor performance monitoring.
