QA Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our quality assurance efforts. You will design and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs, turning repetitive manual tests into reliable, scalable automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs using Cypress or Playwright.
• Create and execute end‑to‑end, integration, and regression test cases.
• Perform API‑level testing with tools such as Supertest or Postman.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand workflows and testing requirements.
• Read and navigate backend codebases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify manual testing tasks and convert them into automated scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and validate deployments.
• Monitor test results, troubleshoot failures, and maintain test stability.
• Document test plans, test cases, and automation workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience writing automated tests in a JavaScript/TypeScript environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cypress or Playwright.
• Proficiency in API testing tools such as Supertest or Postman.
• Ability to read and navigate backend codebases for testing purposes.
• Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
