QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our testing team. You will design and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs, turning repetitive manual tests into reliable, scalable scripts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs using Cypress or Playwright.
• Create end‑to‑end, integration, and regression test cases and execute them regularly.
• Perform API‑level testing with tools such as Supertest, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand workflows and testing requirements.
• Read and navigate backend codebases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify manual testing tasks that can be automated and implement robust scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and validate deployments.
• Monitor test results, troubleshoot failures, and maintain test stability.
• Document test plans, test cases, and automation workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience writing automated tests in a JavaScript/TypeScript environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cypress or Playwright (experience with both is a plus).
• Proficiency in API testing tools such as Supertest or Postman.
• Ability to read and work with backend codebases for testing purposes.
• Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
